1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and understand how pages are used.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies to remember your cookie consent choice and, if you accept, to collect basic analytics about Site usage. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across unrelated websites.
3. Types of cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| toolkitacaciapath_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for cookie banner | 1 year | Toolkit Acacia Path (localStorage) |
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors for analytics (only if you Accept) | 2 years | Google Analytics (third party) |
| _ga_* | Maintains analytics session state (only if you Accept) | 2 years | Google Analytics (third party) |
4. Essential vs analytics
Essential: The consent preference stored in localStorage is necessary to avoid showing the banner on every visit. Rejecting analytics does not affect Site functionality.
Analytics: Optional cookies help us see which workshop pages receive the most interest. These load only if you click Accept on the cookie banner.
5. Third-party cookies
If analytics cookies are enabled, Google may set third-party cookies subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not control third-party cookie behaviour.
6. Managing cookies
You can Accept or Reject optional cookies via the banner on first visit. You may also clear cookies through your browser settings. Instructions vary by browser — look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in settings.
Disabling essential consent storage will cause the cookie banner to reappear on your next visit. Disabling analytics cookies prevents us from counting anonymous page views but does not block access to any page.
